Description: 

Traffic signal operation depends upon many factors. This webinar will describe performance-based approaches that many agencies have adopted to operate their traffic signals. The presenters will identify current practices in planning, designing, installing, and operating these systems. They will also discuss reporting on system performance, identify how to prioritize locations for signal improvements, and describe how to estimate resources needed for repairs. This webinar draws on research from the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP).
