Topic: I bet everyone is wondering why 2019 is the year of two Traffic Bowls, yes you are remembering correctly that we held the last traffic bowl in March. For those of you who don't know much about traffic bowl, there are three compeitions that every team competes in:
1. The Section Level - for us this is the monthly meeting that we hold every year between GA Southern, GT and KSU.
2. The District Level - The winner from each section level then competes in thier district Traffic Bowl. GA is part of the Southern District and the District Traffic Bowl is held at the Southern District Annual Meeting held in the spring
3. The International Level - The winner from each district then competes at the international Traffic Bowl at the ITE Annual Meeting. This Annual Meeting is held in the Fall

For 2020, the International ITE Annual Meeting is being combined with the Southern District Annual Meeting and they are moving it from the spring to the fall. So that means that Southern District does not have a slotted time for the Traffic Bowl Competition and it will be held at the ITE Student Leadership Summit that is being hosted by Georgia Tech at the end of February 2020. Which pushes back our Georgia Section Traffic Bowl Compeition to November!

Now that everyone is caught up, please join us to support the Georgia Section Student Chapters as they compete for the title of Georgia Section Traffic Bowl Winners to represent Georgia at the District Level competition that will also be held here in GA this year!

Along with the Traffic Bowl, there will be a series of young member spotlights. We have five avaliable slots for a young member of the Georgia Section to present on some of the interesting work they have done since leaving school and joining the workforce. Young member spotlights during the traffic bowl is a great way for companies to show off some of the projects that young engineers get to work on in front of the students as well as giving the young member experience presenting in front of a group. Each spotlight will be about 5 minutes with time for questions at the end. You can nominate a young member (or yourself) for one of the spotlights here. The survey will close November 1st.
